Who’s Sorry Now


She sat patiently in school

Silently wearing her scars



Nourishment to learn

Waiting for the teachers test

Still 3 o’clock came

She knew life would

present this test

In order for her to heal

  1. This poem speaks to me as someone who was a good student, because home wasn’t always the best place to be. I loved those tests and needed the teacher’s praise.
