Santa Monica

I forget what it’s all about

How life is so precious

And how it can all change

In the twinkle of an eye

I always think of the

grand design

The big picture

Forgetting how I got

To where I am now

It’s always more than less

What I’ll need to keep

me warm and safe

Than I hear how one

man granted a child

His last wish

A child who was terminally ill

And how the child died in this man’s arms

It brought me back to square one

And said remember what wisdom has taught you

Always smell the roses
