Once upon

As the sun on the play ground faded

The children voices were silent

Despair replaced the sun as I was alone again

Fun was forced upon me as laughter was a symptom

Of some foreign disease, the atmosphere was so that

You could cut it with a knife, yet the only implement

I had was a pen to write,I had to scrounge for something

To write on,as the buts that were somewhat became the

Cigarettes to smoke, the sun was the barometer the heat was

My deterrent giving a purpose to hide, the sun on the

Play ground was life speaking and the children’s voices

We’re saying play, play, play while there’s life left unto your bones
