Tobacco Root

Tobacco root

God,what the weather did to this yrs crop

Wish I had some now to roll and smoke

A good days work, all the more satisfying,to sit on the porch, with the dog kickin back

Tobacco root, twist one if you got one

God the days are winding down till the summer will soon be gone

I wish I could put summer in a bottle for when times are cold and I need some…

Comfort is a state of mind, tobacco root

What can a man say who plants seeds & wait

The writing prompt for this poem was “tobacco root”,nothing like a good challenge
