Dreams

As I layed in bed
asleep

Dreaming of the sea

I wanted to resist
toss and turn

For once this child
never liked

But dreams come
even when….

I was a
shell of a
distant shore,
washed up
after a
storm

Still a shell
of existence

The ocean was
enough to instill
a longing

Wanting to
be a of part,
not separate

To the sea
this shell
of mine
went

As I the
shell
slipped

So did I
back
to
LIFE
with
all
my
needs
for this
sea of
DREAMS
