Mother and Father

There isn’t any shame

to say you were wrong

There isn’t any shame

to say

that you have found

LOVE

where once it

was gone

Both my parent’s have passed

I’ve wrestled

with all

of there

LOVE

We frought

tooth and nail

till there was

no more fight

But I’ve come

to a place

of

PEACE

I can feel them

now

more than

when they

were here

I can see them

With them both

SMILING

from

ear to ear

I’m proud to say

the

LOVE

in my heart

is stronger

than their

time would allow

“I just need to say this one”

You never know

what you got

till it’s gone

All I can say

is to keep the

LOVE

in your heart

For tomorrow

is yet another

LOVE

And to miss it

“ITS GONE”

  1. The other night, mom was visiting while her AC was being repaired and fell asleep. I watched her quietly not knowing if sleep or other had taken hold. She is 90 and was jarred that reality is now, and that everything is transient.
