A fellow blogger and friend Linda put the challenge out
To use the word press
Now me being who I am
simple is not my style
So without further ado
Alfonso please
A drum roll
I give you
You pushed me
You pressed my buttons
You took me to the wall
& when that wasn’t enough
You pressed my buttons again
Had the nerve to ask me what was wrong
& when I shot you a look
You looked at me over your glasses
Sayin to me just try me
You pushed me
You pressed my buttons
You took me to the wall
After all of that
What was left was a book on the self
& in the middle was pressed flowers
Of the day we were married
Sad memories of love between the books
Pressed flowers
Still press my lost buttons of love

  1. Some buttons are easier to press than others, and pressed flowers are always reminders that turn brown over time and sadly crumble in the wind of time I find. Excellent piece Sheldon, excellent.
    Good morning,

  2. Hey Mr Sheldon my friend!!
I can so relate to this …I really enjoyed this piece……..yes, it is so easy to push those buttons ..but is it worth it in the end?!.. Like anyone I can push buttons but I rather not and usually don’t …I rather be happy…
So fragile is our love that is pressed in between pages…

  3. Very nicely done, Sheldon. πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for joining in! πŸ˜€
For next time, it’s important that you put your link in my comment section on the prompt post, to make sure everyone comes here to read. I’ll do it now for this one. πŸ™‚
